Marcus Rashford’s brother and manager arrested for domestic violence

Dane Rashford, Marcus Rashford’s brother and an FA intermediary, was reportedly arrested in Miami Beach, Florida, on October 20, for domestic violence. He appeared in court the following day, and his bond for release was set at $1,500. The charge of battery, specifically categorized as domestic violence, was registered on October 24.

Dane Rashford, 31 years old, serves as a director of DN May Sports Management, a company that counts Marcus Rashford among its clients. A pre-trial “stay away order” was issued by the court, preventing any contact. Chantelle Maynard, a relative of the Rashford brothers, posted the bond a week after Dane’s arrest, securing his release on bail. Dane has pleaded not guilty and is scheduled for a further hearing on November 27.

Daysi Vega-Mendez, an assistant state prosecutor for Miami Dade County, confirmed the situation to The Telegraph and mentioned that they were trying to contact the victim. They also noted that they needed permission from the UK Embassy to speak with the victim. The case is still active, and an arraignment hearing is set for November 27.

In a separate note, Marcus Rashford had a challenging game as Manchester United lost 4-3 to Copenhagen in the Champions League, where he received a red card. He will be unavailable for the next European fixture against Galatasaray but will be eligible for selection when Manchester United plays against Luton Town in the Premier League on November 11.
