Terry G Attributes Music Career Decline to Allegedly ‘Dubious Team’
Renowned rapper Gabriel Oche Amanyi, widely known as Terry G, has pointed to the downfall of his music career, attributing it to what he describes as a ‘deceitful team’ that reportedly sabotaged his efforts.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday, January 28, Terry G claimed that his former management team orchestrated his decline by confirming bookings without his knowledge and failing to reimburse him for shows he did not attend. He expressed regret to affected show promoters and Disc Jockeys (DJs) in a public statement.
The ‘Akpako Master’ penned, “To all show promoters, I worked with a dubious team (managers) which created a false narrative about me. They accepted bookings without me being aware and even refused to refund shows I didn’t attend, putting the blame on me without my knowledge.”
Acknowledging his humanity, he utilized the platform to issue an apology, stating, “I am only but human, and I use this platform to apologize for all that. I’m happy to clear this out as it has been reasons why y’all haven’t been hearing or seeing Terry G. Thank you.”
Terry G also declared his freedom from a past DJ association ban, assuring DJs that the issues causing the ban have been resolved. He shared, “To all deejays, I have been cleared from the ban I had years ago. I have settled, I’m putting this out for the great ones who haven’t heard the information since 2020 to know that I’m no longer banned by the DJ association.”
