A STUDENT OF FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE (FUNAAB) POISONED HIS FRIENDS WITH BROWNIE CAKE AND OTHER SUBSTANCES

Oladokun Ayomide, a final-year student at the Federal University of Agriculture (FUNAAB), Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State, is alleged to have poisoned two women: Odumosu Semilore and his fiancée Ugbokwe Mmasichukwu.

The suspect invited his girlfriend to his home in the Surulere neighbourhood of the Camp area of the city, and after that, according to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Ogun, Omolola Odutola, he administered a poison that was thought to be a mixture of brownie cakes, alcohol, and an unidentified harmful substance.

On Friday, November 10, 2023, it was learned that Mmasichukwu asked her schoolmate Semilore to go with her to her boyfriend’s house in the Surulere community, Camp, Abeokuta, before heading to the suspect’s apartment.
The moment the victims consumed the dangerous cake, they lost consciousness and were sent to the hospital.

Ayomide was thought to have intended to hurt the victims, according to the police, despite the fact that the cause for the suspect’s actions was still unknown at the time this report was submitted.

“The victims were believed to have been fed brownie cake, and they immediately lost consciousness after eating it and were taken to the Osiele Medical Centre for treatment,” a police official said, confirming the occurrence.
When our police went to the crime scene, they discovered a foil paper pack that had been used for the brownie cake. The school’s chief security officer turned over the suspect to the police division.

She continued by saying that more research was being done to determine the facts behind the occurrence.
