The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has reportedly offered Herve Renard a lucrative deal to take the reins of the Super Eagles. Following Finidi George’s resignation as head coach, the NFF is seeking a new leader for the national team. Finidi has since joined Rivers United, a Nigeria Premier League side.
According to football journalist Santi Aouna, Renard has been offered an annual salary of €2million by the NFF. However, Nigeria faces competition from Egypt, who are also vying for the French coach’s services. Renard previously led Ivory Coast’s national team.
The offer is a significant one, and it remains to be seen whether Renard will accept the challenge of leading the Super Eagles. The NFF’s move highlights their determination to secure a top-class coach to guide the team forward.
