Amidst the hardship in the country, the Nollywood Actress Chinenye Emekesiri has reached out to the poor and less privileged to the society, by distributing Foodstuffs consisting of tubers of yam, Tomatoes, Salt and Red oil.
In a video shared on Facebook, the Actress was seen addressing the crowd and sharing foodstuffs to them. She disclosed that she has a Foundation called Everglow Foundation whose Vision and Objectives are Distribution of Sanitary Pads to the girls in schools and women in Prisons, Hospitality (feeding the poor and less privileged), Skill Acquisition and Medical supports.
In the Video, she disclosed that the foundation was set up in 2023 and although the foundation does not have money yet, she had to sacrifice the little she had from her personal purse to touch lives. According to her publication on Facebook, there were lots of people scrabbling for the food, as Men, Women and their children could be seen queuing up and grabbing their shares of the foodstuffs.
The Actress advised all kindhearted people to live by example and help the needy, no matter how little.
She quotes ” Givers are not measured by what they have, rather it’s by what they can give. No matter how little you have try to touch lives. The country is really tough now, all we have is each other”
