Veteran Nigerian actress Ngozi Nwosu has opened up about her traumatic experience with illness and abandonment by her home state of Abia. In an interview, Ngozi revealed that during her 2012 battle with a kidney-related ailment, her state failed to support her.
Instead, she credited her fame and a loyal fan’s intervention, which led to the Lagos state government’s assistance, for saving her life. This experience has left Ngozi determined to never provide free services to her state again.
“I’ve decided that for any service my Abia State requests, they’ll have to pay heavily for it,” she stated.
