Nigerian singer Portable has weighed in on the ongoing feud between Wizkid and Davido, alleging that the two music icons are using their controversy to stay relevant.
Portable claimed that Wizkid and Davido’s music is no longer marketable, prompting them to resort to beef for promotion. He urged them to focus on their craft rather than tearing each other down.
On his Instagram story, Portable wrote, “Don’t use your brother to shine, shine yourself. Una songs no dey market again, na fight una dey use do promotion.” He also declared his neutrality, stating, “Me, I no dey for Davido. Me, I no dey for Wizkid. I dey for myself.”
Wizkid and Davido’s public dispute began on Tuesday, with Wizkid labeling Davido “wack” and talentless. Despite Davido’s silence, Wizkid continued his tirade, involving Davido’s family.
