Adedeji Adeleke, father of award-winning artist Davido, has shared his experience securing a permit for his $2 billion power plant. Adeleke, a billionaire industrialist, faced difficulties with government officials who initially denied his environmental permit.
Despite the setbacks, Adeleke persevered and prayed, believing that God would intervene. His Chinese engineering partners were worried about the project’s future, but Adeleke assured them that it would succeed.
Eventually, the then Minister of Power granted approval for the project, recognizing its brilliance. The 1,250-megawatt power plant, set to be completed in January 2025, will generate 15% of Nigeria’s electricity needs.
Adeleke shared his story at the Seventh Day Adventist General Conference Annual Council, highlighting the power of faith and determination.
