According to TheCable; The instructor has been identified as UNIMAID’s Department of Physical Health Education PhD candidate Kamar Abdulkadir.
Abdulkadir was found dead in a pool of his own blood on Sunday, his body covered in several wounds from his assassins.
According to sources who spoke with TheCable, the speaker was attacked with a knife and hammer, as evidenced by his physical wounds.
One source further stated that the lecturer’s automobile and other belongings were taken by the assassins.
When he attempted to stop his attackers from stabbing him, his hands were torn off. The source claimed that they also immediately killed him by smashing his head and spinal cord with a hammer.
The UNIMAID case is the most recent in a string of violent attacks against academics and universities.
A female lecturer at the Federal University of Technology (FUT) Minna named Funmilola Adefolalu was discovered dead in October 2023.
At her home in Minna’s Gbaiko neighbourhood, the lecturer was discovered lying in a pool of blood.
At the time, the police reported that they had discovered two knives at the scene that appeared to have been used to stab her due to bloodstains.
