Enugu Security operatives neutralize 3 man robbery gang
Security operatives from the Distress Response Squad (DRS), a specialized police unit in Enugu State, eliminated three armed robbers on Sunday.
The criminals’ lifeless bodies were found inside their operational vehicle, as victims recounted their ordeals in a video circulating on social media.
One victim was robbed on Ibuza Street, while another lost phones and money to the same gang at Onu-Asata, both incidents occurring within Enugu metropolis on the same day.
A resident also reported being robbed in front of Parklane Hospital earlier that morning.An eyewitness, an unidentified policeman, described the unfolding of the incident, stating, “We heard gunshots while waiting for food in a restaurant.
Sensing danger, we left and, as we approached a roundabout, they began shooting at us.
We pursued them from the roundabout to the eventual confrontation.”As of the time of this report, the Enugu State Police Command has not yet responded to the incident.Credit: Sun Newspaper
