Poland has become the first team to be eliminated from the Euro 2024 tournament. This follows the 0-0 draw between France and the Netherlands on Friday night, which likely secures both teams a spot in the Round of 16.
The expanded tournament format allows some third-placed teams to advance, and no team has been eliminated with four points since the change. Austria, who face the Netherlands next, also have a strong chance of progressing to the next round.
Poland, however, suffered a 3-1 loss to Austria earlier in the day, sealing their fate as the first team to exit the competition. They will play their final match against France on Tuesday.
