Nigerian singer, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has opened up about his decision to study law. In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, Falz clarified that he wasn’t pressured to follow in his father, Femi Falana’s footsteps.
Growing up, Falz was inspired by the people his father fought for. He recalled how everyone had a story about his father’s advocacy and how it motivated him to emulate his father’s work. Falz chose to study law on his own, without pressure from his family.
Although he practiced law briefly, Falz eventually pursued his music career full-time. He started to step away from law in 2014 when his music gained momentum.
