Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has rejected speculation that he will replace Gareth Southgate as England manager. Southgate resigned from the position after England’s loss to Spain in the Euro 2024 final, prompting the Football Association to search for a new manager.
Postecoglou, who joined Tottenham from Celtic last summer, was among the names linked to the role. However, when asked about the rumors, he dismissed them, stating, “I was having a nap this afternoon. I have no idea.”
The Australian coach reaffirmed his commitment to Tottenham, saying, “I’m the Tottenham manager, and I’m determined to bring success to this club. That’s where my focus is totally.” Postecoglou’s response indicates that he is not considering the England manager position and is dedicated to his current role at Tottenham.
