Obtain approval before repairing any road Kwara government warns
Kwara State residents are urged to seek approval from the government before undertaking road repairs, as stated in a Monday announcement by the Press Secretary to the state Ministry of Works and Transport, Bola Onile.
Onile highlighted instances of unauthorized work on government facilities, emphasizing the importance of obtaining government permission. The government has approved rehabilitation for 43 roads across the state, with some completed, others in progress, and more announcements to come.
While welcoming support for infrastructural development, the Ministry stresses the need for collaboration due to limited resources. Anyone wishing to intervene on state-owned facilities is urged to approach the relevant government departments for approval, following the due process for accountability and to avoid duplication of efforts.
