Wilfred Ndidi, the Nigerian midfielder, has expressed his enthusiasm to work with Steve Cooper, the new manager of Leicester City. Ndidi recently signed a three-year contract extension with the club, ending speculation about his future. The new deal will keep him at Leicester City until 2027.
Ndidi revealed that he had a positive conversation with Cooper during the holidays, which influenced his decision to stay at the club. He praised Cooper’s ideas and sense of humor, saying, “He had some good ideas to share with me, so it was really, really, really amazing, and I’m looking forward to working with him. He’s a great guy, he’s funny.”
Ndidi joined Leicester City in 2017 and has since won the FA Cup and Community Shield with the team. He is eager to start the new season under Cooper’s guidance, with Leicester City hosting Tottenham Hotspur in their first game on August 19.
