Chippa United co-head coach, Thabo September, has acknowledged that goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali may leave the club during the summer transfer window.
Nwabali’s impressive performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations has sparked interest from several clubs, including Saudi Arabia’s El-Ettifaq, England’s Queens Park Rangers, and South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs.
While September cannot guarantee Nwabali’s stay, he views the potential departure as a natural part of the club’s development. “There’s a high possibility of losing him,” September said. “It’s what the club is about.” Nwabali joined Chippa United from Katsina United in 2022.
