The All Progressives Congress (APC) has refuted claims by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that President Bola Tinubu is responsible for the current economic hardship in the country.
Atiku and the PDP had blamed Tinubu’s policies for the hyperinflation and economic difficulties facing Nigerians, warning that the consequences of hungry citizens would be dire.
However, the APC insists that the reforms implemented by the government, such as fuel subsidy removal and naira floatation, are necessary to salvage the country from collapse.
According to the APC National Director, Bala Ibrahim, Atiku’s statements were insincere and economical with the truth. He pointed out that President Tinubu’s government is actually implementing the ideals and democratic values that the late Chief MKO Abiola stood for.
Ibrahim believes that Atiku and the PDP are responsible for the country’s economic woes and are playing politics with the truth.
The APC director expressed confidence that Nigerians are in safe hands under Tinubu’s leadership, which is working to bring about reforms in governance, economy, and institutions. While acknowledging that the process may be painful, he assured that the end result would be worth it.
Overall, the APC has dismissed the PDP’s criticisms and reaffirmed its commitment to implementing reforms that will benefit the country in the long run.
