Enugu to build 260 health centersEnugu State is constructing 260 Type 2 primary healthcare centres across the state to enhance healthcare services.
Governor Peter Mbah announced this during a meeting with Dr. Tunji Alausa, the Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare.Mbah highlighted the state’s efforts to improve healthcare, ensuring residents have access to quality facilities regardless of financial status.
He expressed satisfaction with the federal government’s support for sub-national efforts to strengthen the healthcare system.
The governor mentioned collaboration with the federal government in constructing the healthcare centres across the state’s wards.
He emphasized the importance of data in crafting effective strategies and addressing gaps in the healthcare system.
Mbah identified infrastructure deficits and a shortage of personnel as major challenges.
